Visa

To request an invitation letter, please contact PSIVT 2010 Conference Manager by email at contact@inmeetpro.com.sg with the subject: "Request for PSIVT 2010 invitation letter". Please provide us with the following details:

• Registration Login ID (This is the one you used for your symposium registration)
• Paper ID (The ID numbers of the papers you have registered)
• Receipt No. (Note: we can only issue invitation letter for visa application if you have completed your registration payment)
• Name (as it appears in passport)
• Organization
• Mailing Address
• E-mail Address

 

Travel

The Republic of Singapore is located at the tip of the Malay Peninsula, Southeast Asia. The unique position of Singapore has helped it grow into a prosperous nation, whose people here enjoy one of the highest standards of living in Asia. The nation has a tropical, wet climate. The annual average temperature ranges from a high 28 degree C (82 degree F) to a low 23 degree C (73 degrees F) with little seasonal change. A harmonious blend of culture, cuisine, arts and architecture can be enjoyed in the nation. Singapore has always been charming for its tropical scenery and hospitality, attracting visitors from all over the world.

The public transport service in Singapore is very convenient. There are multiple choices to travel from Singapore Changi Airport to the city, and to the symposium venue. Some travelling suggestions are listed below.

1. Directions from Singapore Changi Airport to Nanyang Executive Centre (NEC , the symposium venue)

• By Taxi

The distance from Changi Airport to NTU is around 40 km, which usually takes a taxi around 40 min to transport. The transport fee is around S$40, with 50% plus if you drive during night-time (12:00pm to 06:00am or so). Tipping is usually uncommon in Singapore.

• By MRT and Bus:

It is the most economic way to take MRT (Trains) and Bus to go from Changi Airport to NEC. The whole journal will normally take around 1 hour and 30 min to transport from the East to the West, during which you can have a rough idea of Singapore. The transport fee is around S$5. The route is as follows.

• First, go to Changi Airport MRT Station (CG2), which locates underground in-between  Changi Airport’s Terminal 2 (T2) and Terminal 3 (T3). The first train arrives at around 05:30 am and the last train leaves at 23:18 pm daily. Tickets are available at the MRT station.
• Second, take MRT from Changi Airport MRT Station (CG2) to Tanah Merah MRT Station (EW4). Alight at Tanah Merah MRT Station (EW4), switch to the MRT along East West Line towards Joo Koo MRT Station (EW29).
• Third, take the MRT along East West Line towards Joo Koo MRT Station (EW29), and alight at Pioneer MRT Station (EW28).
• Last, find the bus stop near Pioneer MRT Station (EW28), and take Bus 179 to Nanyang Technological University (NTU).

2. Directions from Singapore Changi Airport to the Symposium’s Supporting Hotels (i.e. Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel and River View Hotel)

The symposium supporting hotels are located near the central business district   and the Singapore River, with easy access of the shopping and entertainment areas of Singapore.

• By Taxi:

The distance from Changi Airport to supporting hotels is around 23 km, which usually takes a taxi around 25 min to transport. The transport fee is around S$20, with 50% plus if you drive during night-time (12:00pm to 06:00am or so). Tipping is usually uncommon in Singapore.

3. Directions from the Symposium’s Supporting Hotels (i.e. Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel and River View Hotel) to Nanyang Executive Centre (NEC , the symposium venue)

• By Chartered Bus:

Chartered Bus will be available to transfer delegates between the River View Hotel and the symposium venue.
