The programchairs of PSIVT 2015 awarded the following three awards (each with an NZ$400.- bonus):

  • IAPR Best Paper at PSIVT 2015 to Zexuan Ji, Jinyao Liu, Hengdong Yuan, Yubo Huang and Quansen Sun for their paper: A Spatially Constrained Asymmetric Gaussian Mixture Model for Image Segmentation
  • IAPR Best Application Paper at PSIVT 2015 to Vijay John, Zheng Liu, Chunzhao Guo, Seiichi Mita and Kiyosumi Kidono for their paper: Real-Time Lane Estimation using Convolutional Neural Networks and Extra Trees Regression
  • IAPR Best Paper Presentation at PSIVT 2015 to Domingo Mery for presenting the paper Object Recognition in Baggage Inspection Using Adaptive Sparse Representations of X-ray Images, co-authored by Domingo Mery, Erick Svec and Marco Arias

PSIVT provides a forum for researchers to present the latest research and developments in image and video technology. Both academic and industrial research contributions are encouraged so as to stimulate discussion for the mutual benefit of both. Researchers, artists, developers, educators, performers, and practitioners of image and video technology from the Pacific Rim and around the world are invited to participate.
